OMII-BPEL has provided the i rst integrated BPEL environment suitable
for scientii c grid computing. Even though there is still room for improve-
ments as user requirements grow constantly, it does not stop the adoption
of BPEL as an executable workl ow modeling language in grid computing
in general. We are already seeing fruitful choices of BPEL implementations
in the market: organizations and companies like Apache, IBM, JBoss,
Microsoft, Oracle, and Sun have all built their own professional BPEL solu-
tions. OMII-BPEL, when it continues to keep up with the quality software
releases under OMII infrastructure, is looking forward to applying BPEL
technology to more extensive scientii c applications, through which we
carry out an in-depth research and study of service-oriented grid comput-
ing with BPEL in a wider domain.
