PAI
Once just a stopover on the tiring
journey to Mae Hong Son, PA I , set in a
broad, lush, upland valley 135km from
Chiang Mai, is now a major tourist hub.
It has retained some of the laidback, New
Age feel that draws certain travellers in
for weeks, but has also become a
honeypot for hai tourists. here's all
manner of outdoor activities to tempt
you, plus courses and therapies -
including retail therapy at the art studios,
leather and jewellery shops. It's very
pleasant to stroll through the stalls that
set up along the “walking street” of
hanon Chaisongkhram every evening.
