SENTOSA ISLAND

visiting on public holidays.
At the Underwater World (daily
10am-7pm; S$29.90), located near
Siloso Point, a moving walkway carries
you along a tunnel between two large
tanks: sharks lurk menacingly on all sides,
huge stingrays drape themselves languidly
above you and immense shoals of gaily
coloured fish dart to and fro; you can
also feed rays by hand in a separate tank.

Dolphin Lagoon is included in the price.

NORTH EASTERN RIVERINE
LOOP NERL
he North Eastern Riverine Loop
( W nparks.gov.sg) is a system of connected
scenic pathways offering a stunning view
of Singapore's waterways and reservoirs.
he 26km loop links four parks
- Punggol Park, Punggol Point Park,
Punggol Waterway Park and Sengkang
Riverside Park - home to rich
biodiversity and birds such as collared
kingfishers, herons and egrets.
Visitors can cycle (S$8/hr) the entire
26km, or opt for a shorter 13km loop.
here are places to eat and a riding school
(S$65/30min) along the way.
CHANGI MUSEUM
Bus #2 from Tanah Merah MRT drops

near the infamous site of a World War II

photographs that plot the Japanese

VISITING SENTOSA
The easiest way to get to Sentosa is to catch the MRT to HarbourFront Station; from there, you
can either hop onto the Sentosa Express (S$4) or take a stroll down the Sentosa Boardwalk
(S$1). The most spectacular way there, however, is by cable car (daily 8.45am-10pm; S$26)
from HarbourFront Tower II.
Sentosa has an e cient monorail and bus system (daily 7am-10.30pm, Sat until midnight)
- there's a colour-coded system of three bus lines and a beach tram that link the island's
attractions, although the best way to get about is to rent a bike for the day (S$12/hr; tandem
bike S$18) from Go Green Cycle & Island Explorer ( W gogreencycle.sg). With over 60 food and
beverage outlets, there are plenty of options for eating . Sentosa's many attractions add up, so
it's really worth looking into ticket packages (visit W sentosa.com.sg for details).
