By bangka There is one daily scheduled bangka to El Nido
(9am; 8hr; P1800 including lunch), bookable through any
resort. SeaDive Resort is the arrival and departure point.
This service is especially prone to timetable changes, and is
weather dependent.
By ferry The 2GO Manila-Coron ferry service leaves
Manila at 4pm on Fri, arriving in Coron at 6am on Sat
morning; it departs one hour later for Puerto Princesa
arriving at 9pm on Sat. On the way back, it leaves Puerto at
midnight on Sat night/Sun morning, stopping off in Coron
at 2pm on Sun, leaving at 3.30pm, and arrives in Manila
at 5.30am on Mon morning.

the seafront offers budget accommodation with shared
bath facilities (all with hot water), plus some en-suite
fan rooms (P900), while some of the a/c rooms (P1300)
have sea views (P1600). It also has a fantastically
popular restaurant and is a reliable place from which to

EATING AND DRINKING
The Bistro Don Pedro St. Easily the best restaurant in
Coron; the appetizing smell of sizzling dishes wafts into
the street. Mouthwatering fish and seafood dishes (from
P145), and there's plenty for meat-lovers too (P170-470).
Daily 8am-11pm.
Helldiver Bar inside SeaDive Resort . This lively bar with
fascinating World War II memorabilia, such as a shot-down
American plane propeller, offers the widest range of
alcoholic drinks in town at great prices (beer P50). You can
also order food from the restaurant at Sea Dive . Daily
4pm-midnight.
ACCOMMODATION
In spite of damage from Typhoon Yolanda and ongoing
repairs, all of the options below were at least partially
open at the time of writing.

7879, W kokosnuss.info. The first accommodation as
you approach Coron Town from the airport, 1km before
the town. Accommodation is set around a lovely garden
area with hammocks and a small pool. Rooms range
from basic with shared bath to privates with a/c, hot
showers, mosquito nets and flatscreen TVs. Free wi-fi.
Repair was under way at the time of writing and plans
are for a c oncrete dorm room (P600) in place of the old
nipa huts. P1680
Krystal Lodge T 0949 333 0429 or T 0926 723 1212,
E pretty_kryz23@yahoo.com. A unique place, with
traditional huts on stilts connected by a number of
passages made of misshapen wooden planks and wonky
bamboo sticks, which somehow seem to support the
entire structure. Krystal was hit hard by Yolanda, and only

Banks BPI, Allied Bank and Landbank all have ATMs.
There's also a Western Union on Real St. You can change
US$ at Bonito Money Changer on Rizal Ave near the
junction with Valencia St.
Internet XTE and SinTech are along National Highway,
Barangay Poblacion 1 (both daily 8am-8pm; P25/hr);
many hotels offer wi-fi.
