By bus Mandalay has three main bus stations, of which
the most useful, Kwe Se Kan, is also the furthest away at
around 10km south of town (25min; motorbike K2000,
taxi K4000). The most central bus station is Thiri
Mandalar, 89th St 22/24, although it's of little use to
most travellers. Pyi Gyi Myat Shin bus station is on 37th
St 60/62 (motorbike from downtown K2000, taxi K4000),

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
By plane The airport is 45km south of Mandalay. If you're
flying with AirAsia then you can take their free shuttle
buses at 9am and 9.15am from 79th St 26/27; the buses
into the city are at 12.45pm and 1pm. Otherwise most
guesthouses, hotels and tour agencies can arrange a taxi
