TULAMBEN
he small village of TULAMBEN , about
10km northwest of Culik, is mainly a
destination for diving and snorkelling.
It's the site of the most popular dive in
Bali, the Liberty wreck , attracting up to
a hundred divers a day. he wreck lies
about 30m offshore and is encrusted
with hard and soft coral, gorgonians
and hydrozoans, providing a wonderful
habitat for around three hundred
species of fish that live on it, and more
than a hundred species that visit from
deeper water. he wreck is pretty
broken up and there are plenty of
entrances letting you explore inside.
Parts of it are in shallow water, making
this a good snorkelling site, too. It's
worth staying in the village to avoid the
rush hours (11.30am-4pm) on the
wreck, enjoy a night dive and explore
some of the area's other excellent sites,
but if you are not diving or snorkelling
there is little else to do.

sometimes referred to as Kintamani ,
although this is the name of just one of
many villages. he highest points on the
rim are Gunung Abang (2153m) on the
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
