CHINESE VISAS
To enter China, you'll need a pre-arranged visa . The o cial consular website states that all
visas are required to be processed in your home country, though travel agencies and hotels,
even the cheapest hostels, in Hong Kong offer this service. However, it's best to check before
you travel. A single-entry visa costs from HK$200 with a four-day wait, HK$400 if you want it
within three days (express) or HK$500 for the rush two-day service. You can also get more
expensive multiple-entry visas . Some passport-holders, including British and US, may have
to pay significantly more (HK$360 and HK$1100 respectively for the standard four-day service).
