demonstrated maximum inhibition against mycobacterial -(1,6)-mannosyltrans-

ferases (Fig. 12.10) [52].
Our group has synthesized 5-Azido-5-deoxyxylo-, ribo-, and arabinofuranoses,
which upon 1,3 dipolar cycloaddition with different alkynes resulted in a series of
1,2,3-triazolyl glycoconjugates. All the compounds were evaluated for antitubercular
activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H 37 Rv, where compound ( 24 )showed
mild antitubercular activity in vitro with MIC 12.5 g/mL [15].
