local bin directory ( /usr/local/bin on Linux) have been overwritten with the 12c version. Some sites use the oratab
file for customization in which case you need to preserve the original files first or choose not to overwrite them.

Entries will be added to the /etc/oratab file as needed by
Database Configuration Assistant when a database is created
