Between midnight and 4am night bus 900 makes the run.
Keleti Pályaudvar
Magyar Államvasutak (MÁV, Hungarian State Railways; 06-40 49 49 49, from abroad
+36-1 444 4499; www.mav.hu ) links up with the European rail network in all directions.
Most international trains (and domestic traffic to/from the north and northeast) arrive at Ke-
leti pályaudvar (Eastern Train Station ; GOOGLE MAP ; VIII Kerepesi út 2-6; M3/M4
Keleti pályaudvar). The station has left-luggage lockers, a post office and a grocery store
that is open late.
Avoid queues by buying your tickets in advance at the MÁV-Start passenger service
centre ( GOOGLE MAP ; 1-512 7921; www.mav-start.hu ; V József Attila utca 16;
9am-6pm Mon-Fri).
Metro
Keleti is on two metro lines: the green M4 and the blue M3.
Bus
Night buses serve the station when the metro is closed.
Nyugati Pályaudvar
Trains from some international destinations (eg Romania) and from the Danube Bend and
Great Plain arrive at Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Train Station; GOOGLE MAP ; VI Teréz
körút 55-57; M3 Nyugati pályaudvar). Amenities are similar to those at Keleti pályaud-
var.
Metro
The station is on the blue M3 line.
Bus
Night buses serve the station when the metro is closed.
