There are nine large rooms upstairs in this pastel-yellow and brick-red villa uphill from the
lake. Each has its own balcony overlooking a sunny garden and grape vines, and guests can
make use of a well-equipped kitchen and grill area.

This was the summer home of the much-loved 19th-century actress-singer Lujza Blaha from
1893 to 1916. Its 22 rooms are a little snug but very comfy, and you couldn't get any closer
to the lake.

In a former life, the Anna Grand was the town's sanatorium, but it is now a luxury hotel
with 100 rooms. Choose ones with either period antiques or modern furnishings, and views
of the hotel's peaceful inner courtyard or tree-shaded Gyógy tér. There's a very sophistic-
ated wellness centre with a swimming pool, and a bowling alley.
