By December temperatures are starting to get seriously cold everywhere
and some high passes start to close, but there's still surprisingly little snow
in the Land of Snows.

Much respect is shown to Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelugpa order, on the an-
niversary of his death on the 25th of the 10th lunar month. Monasteries light fires and
carry images of Tsongkhapa in procession. Check for
