ON THE TREK
Trekking trails in Tibet are not marked and in many places there are no people to ask for
directions. Paths regularly merge, divide and peter out, making route-finding inherently
difficult. If you're not good at trailblazing, this is another good reason to have a registered
guide provided by a travel agency.
