In-Depth Information
Bus Station Hotel
HOTEL
This new Tibetan-run place currently offers the best-value rooms in town. The location
next to the bus station certainly isn't great but a ¥10 taxi ride or minibus 3 or 5 ) takes you
to the centre in five minutes. The superior rooms on the top floors are fresh, spacious and
surprisingly quiet.
Snow Pigeon Hotel
HOTEL
(, Xuěgē Bīnguǎn

)
This place has old-fashioned rooms replete with 1970s wallpaper and a smoky residue but
it's acceptable. You might need to leave the shower running for 10 minutes to get any hot
water. The location off the main drag means that most of the rooms are reasonably quiet.
Yulong Holiday Hotel
HOTEL
(, Yùlóng Jiàrì Dàjiǔdiàn

This three-star place offers clean plush rooms, though some streetside rooms are noisy.
You can even listen to your favourite Chinese pop tunes in the power shower, if you can
figure out how the damn thing works. The lack of wi-fi is a drag.
Shannan Post Hotel

Standard rooms in the main building are decorated with Tibetan motifs but are quite small.
The cheaper rooms in the back are bigger and almost as good.
