Rents 50/125cc scooters in various intervals (per 24 hours €55/65). Prices include third-
party insurance as well as helmets, locks, raingear and gloves. To rent a 50/125cc scooter
you must be at least 21/23 years old, respectively, and leave a refundable credit card deposit
of €1300/1600. No license required for smaller scooters.

Run by a young Australian-British couple, this outfit rents pastel-coloured Vespa XLV 50/
125cc scooters for 24 hours at €70/80, including insurance, helmet and wet-weather gear. To
rent a 50/125cc scooter, you must be at least 18/20 years old and have a car or motorcycle li-
cence. Credit-card deposit is €1000. This place runs tours as well.
Parking
Parking meters in Paris do not accept coins but require either a chip-enabled credit card or a
Paris Carte, available at any tabac (tobacconist) for €10 to €30. The machine will issue you
a ticket for the allotted time, which should be placed on the dashboard behind the wind-
screen. Municipal public car parks, of which there are more than 200 in Paris, charge
between €2 and €3.50 an hour or €20 to €25 per 24 hours. Most are open 24 hours.
