pretend to 'find' a gold ring (after subtly dropping it on the ground) and offer it to you
as a diversionary tactic to surreptitiously reach into your pockets or bags (variations
include include offering to sell you the ring for an outrageous price, or having the
ring's 'owner' arrive and demand compensation). Don't fall for it!
