Taiwan's fabulously addictive bubble tea ( zhēnzhū nǎichá ) has finally made it to Paris. If
you're not familiar with the drink, which consists of sweet milk tea and chewy tapioca balls
sucked up through an unusually large straw, then by all means pencil Zen Zoo into your
Right Bank itinerary, either at tea time (dim sum served) or for a scrumptious Chinese lunch
(€10).

Given its location inside the Decorative Arts Museum, the interior design is, naturally, chic
and impeccable. But it's the sweeping summer terrace with crunchy gravel underfoot and el-
egant tables overlooking the pea-green lawns of Jardin du Carrousel that really makes this a
fine place to get off your feet.

The grande dame of Parisian dyke bars, around since 1979, is a cosy, relaxed spot that at-
tracts an older crowd (about 75% are lesbians, the rest mostly gay men). Cabaret nights,
