Apartments (1st floor), allows for a quieter meander through the Louvre's inspirational col-
lection of Flemish and Dutch paintings spearheaded by works by Peter Paul Rubens and Pi-
eter Bruegel the Elder. Vermeer's The Lacemaker can be found in Room 38, while Room
31 is devoted chiefly to works by Rembrandt.
