RESERVATIONS &
CANCELLATIONS
If you don't do so, the
computer will flag you as a
no-show, and all your other
airpass reservations will also
be canceled. Similarly, if
you miss a flight, reconfirm
all onward flights on your
airpass. If you don't, all your
other flights will be canceled.
Flights tend to be booked
in advance so book your
tickets as far ahead as
possible. The only exception
to this is the Rio-São Paulo
shuttle, where you can
purchase tickets on the spot.
Flights at the beginning and
end of working days and
on weekends are usually
quite crowded.
Confirm onward flights
a day or two in advance.
This can be done over the
phone, as most airlines
have English-speaking staff.
If you have an airpass
and you happen to change
your flight, remember to
cancel the original flight.

domestic airports all over
Brazil, including Recife, Belo
Horizonte, Cuiabá, Campo
Grande, Curitiba, Fernando
de Noronha, Florianópolis,
and Fortaleza.
Both Congonhas and Santos-
Dumont airports are close to
the commercial areas. The
shuttle services to the city cen-
ters take around 50 minutes.

GETTING AROUND
Due to the size and distances across Brazil,
the fastest and easiest way to travel around
the country is by air. All big cities, smaller
towns, and even more remote areas across
the country have airports, or at least an air
strip of some sort. Domestic flights are
available to and from just about any major
city across Brazil.
