IDENTIFICATION
It is mandatory in Brazil to
carry some form of photo
identification. Often you
will be asked to show some
form of ID when entering an
office building or government
agency, or sometimes even a
museum or library. To avoid
carrying around a passport,
keep a photocopy, and carry
some other form of less
valuable ID such as a student
card, or a health card that
has your picture, name, and
date of birth.
