For sizing the inverters the following conditions were satis ed:

Rated output capacity of inverter P output > P CHP /3, resulting P output = 3 kW;

Input voltage inverter V input = V CC = 48 V (equal with the rated batteries
voltage);

Rated output voltage V output = 220 ~ 230, V AC 50 ± 0.05 Hz, THD < 4 %.

The inverters chosen have perfect sine wave output [ 12 ] with technical data
shown in Table 18 and the schematic diagram presented in the Fig. 14 .
In addition to the output wave type, the main features of the inverter are:

Inverters have a higher ef ciency near the rated power so that the operating

recommendation is close to the nominal load. Usually, the manufacturer gives
the inverters performance to a 70 % load of rated power;
