In-Depth Information
illustrates the performance of the temperature control loop. It can be noticed that
the temperature of the thermal agent is maintained at a setpoint equal to 80
°
C with
admissible dynamic errors. Figures 62 and 63 illustrate the important in
uence of
the power variation in the domestic water circuit on the thermal agent temperature
in the tank.
4.4.3 Conclusions
The control systems of the battery voltage and the water temperature in the
accumulation tank allow the maintaining of the adjusted values around the
setpoints with acceptable dynamic errors. That means the energy sources allow
the balance in the dynamic regime of the electrical and thermal loads, in the
condition of preestablished variations of the electrical and thermal energy
consumption.
￿
The situations considered in the analysis and in the numerical simulation have
had in view two types of severe meteorological conditions, for the winter and
summer regimes. It resulted that, for these situations, the energy demand is
sensitively greater in summer regime than in winter regime, out of two reasons:
-
￿
the thermal energy consumption of the air conditioning equipment in sum-
mer regime is greater than the energy consumption for heating in winter
regime;
-
the electrical energy consumption of the adsorption equipment for the air
conditioning sensitively increases the total electrical energy consumption of
the system.
4.5 Simulation and Analysis of the mCCHP System
Model 2
In this functional model of the mCCHP system, the electrical energy is produced by
a single source: the Stirling engine. The thermal energy is provided by three
sources, as in model 1: Stirling engine, a pellet boiler, and a solar collector.
4.5.1 Modeling and Numerical Simulation of the System
in Winter Regime

the PV source was done by modifying the
