B. Solar energy potential of the building
In general, a photovoltaic installation is composed of various modules of solar cells
and the balance-of-system including typically an inverter (given that the device is
connected to the household), cables, and the mounting installation. These may be
constructed either without a connection to the electricity grid (off-grid installation)
or on grid connected installations.
Besides the different types of solar system (PV or ST panels), there are different
