In this chapter, we discuss the surface plasmon related variation
in chirality for some illustrative metallic apertures with chiral
shapesordistributions.Whenlightistransmittedthroughametallic
plate with a chiral aperture pattern, provided that only plasmonic-
mediated transmission exists, it is possible to clearly observe that
the spin angular momentum of the incident light is converted
into the orbital angular momentum of the transmitted light. The
scope of this chapter is to discuss the geometrical dependence of
such plasmonic spin-to-orbital momentum conversion in complex
geometrical structures. Patterns of gammadion with several bent
anglesandquasiperiodicapertureswithcomplexchiralpatternsare
discussed.
