Coordination responsibilities include:
1. Coordinates with the data administrator and database administrator
to understand the nature and size of the data sets that will be worked
with
2. Coordinates with the data administrator and the DBA to ensure that
backups and archives are performed when necessary
3. Works with the data administrator, DBA, and data stewards to
ensure needed security and data access
4. Coordinates with all individuals involved in the process to ensure
that the systems are meeting project and organizational needs
DATA MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Data management consists of the functions listed in TableĀ  6.4. The data
management functions are defined as follows:
1. Development and management requirements : Development and man-
agement requirements refer to management leadership's commit-
ment toward the process of data development and data management.
To be successful, management leadership must be totally involved
and prepared to commit people, time, and financial resources to
the projects and their associated tasks they are sponsoringā€”not to
mention using intelligent foresight during a project's resource analy-
sis. It is important to make your resource specialists and managers
available when the important issues are defined and when working
