Billing itself as Berlin's first 'biohotel', Almodóvar is perfect for those wanting to keep their
healthy ways while travelling. A yoga mat is a standard amenity in the 60 allergy-friendly
rooms decked out in custom rosewood furniture, while the locavore restaurant churns out
vegan, raw food, lactose- and gluten-free dishes, and the spa offers ayurvedic treatments.
Breakfast is €14.

Set back from the street and with a lovely garden out back, this architect-owned hotel in a
revamped factory sparkles in happy-mood-inducing citrus colours. Clear lines and blond-
wood furniture dominate both public areas and the rooms. Hotel 26 went green long before
others jumped on the bandwagon: natural soaps, filtered water and a (mostly) organic cafe
have been de rigeur since 2003.

If this modern and well-kept hotel feels like a breath of fresh air, it may be because it's the
Berlin branch of a small chain of German seaside resorts. Subtle maritime flair pervades the
public areas, including the fish restaurant, while rooms have a clean, uncluttered look, pleas-
ing colours and come in four sizes. Small spa and great views from the rooftop terrace.
