Park Charlottenhof
Laid out by Peter Lenné for Friedrich Wilhelm IV, this park segues imperceptibly from Park
Sanssouci but gets far fewer visitors. Buildings in this quiet corner bear the stamp of Karl
Friedrich Schinkel, most notably the small neoclassical Schloss Charlottenhof (

sion €4/3; 10am-6pm Tue-Sun May-Oct) , which was modelled after a Roman villa and fea-
tures a Doric portico and bronze fountain. Schinkel, aided by his student Ludwig Persius,
also dreamed up the nearby Römische Bäder (Roman Baths; GOOGLE MAP ; 0331-969 4200;

of an Italian country villa. A same-day combination ticket is €5 (concession €4).
