Each Schloss building charges separate admission, but it's best to invest in
the
Ticket charlottenburg+
(adult/concession €15/11) for one-day admis-
sion to every open building. Arrive early, especially on weekends and in sum-
mer when queues can be long.
The Schloss is at its most photogenic from outside the gate in front and
from the carp pond in the Schlosspark. If you want to take photographs in-
side the palaces, you need to buy a photo permit (€3).

Feel like a member of the Prussian court during the

fronted by Andreas Schlüter's grand
equestrian statue of the Great Elector
(1699). Inside,
the baroque living quarters of Friedrich I and Sophie-Charlotte are an extravaganza in

Oak Gallery
, a wood-panelled
festival hall draped in family portraits; the charming
Oval Hall
overlooking the park;
Friedrich I's bedchamber, with the first-ever bathroom in a baroque palace; and the
