There's no shortage of creative spirits in Berlin, but not many of them can afford their own
store. In comes Luxus International, a unique concept store that rents them a shelf or two to
display their original designs: T-shirts, tote bags, ashtrays, lamps, candles, mugs etc. You
never know what you'll find, but you can bet it's a Berlin original.

Viva vintage! With its selection of the most beautiful things from the '60s and '70s, this
place is a tangible reminder of how colourful, campy and fun home decor used to be. True
to its name, many of the furnishings, accessories, lamps and fashions are orange in colour.

Laid-back and low-key, Saint Georges bookshop is a sterling spot to track down new and
used Berlin-themed fiction and nonfiction. The selection includes plenty of rare and out-of-
print books as well as literature by foreign authors translated into English.

Pink Himalaya salt, Moroccan argan oil and crusty German bread are among the global
pantry stockers temptingly displayed at this stylish food gallery. Owners Sasha and Andreas
hand-source all items, most of them rare, organic and from small suppliers. For inspiration,
nose around the cookbook library or join up for a class at the on-site cooking school.
