This simple, urban beer garden on the grounds of a former brewery has a pedigree going
back to the early 20th century and, after a 20-year hiatus, was finally revived in 2013. The
good beer selection, relaxed local crowd, pizza and bratwurst, all at down-to-earth prices,
fill tables to capacity on balmy summer nights.

Pram-pushing mummies, iPad toters and laid-back students all congregate at this funky-ro-
mantic beer garden for cold beers, cakes and barbecue. On the edge of the Mauerpark, it's
busiest on Sundays as a rest stop for flea marketeers. Check the website for parties and con-
certs.

Way off the beaten track, Duncker is a rare club survivor in party-phobic Prenzlauer Berg in
a building that's seen stints as a horse barn, a salt warehouse and a GDR-era youth club.
Kool kids of all ages invade for an alchemy of (non-electronic) sounds, mostly indie rock,
goth and '80s pop, plus free concerts on Thursdays. Chill-out garden in summer.

With its flirty vibe, teensy dance floor and foosball in the cellar, this local institution scores
a trifecta on key ingredients for a good night out. Wallet-friendly drinks prices and a

Latin to soul, indie and ska.
