Part of the Berghain complex, this well-equipped 'lab' has plenty of toys and rooms for ad-
vanced sexual experimentation in what looks like the engine room of an aircraft carrier.
Party names like Yellow Facts, Naked Sex Party and Fausthouse leave little to the imagina-
tion. Hedonism pure. Come before midnight and skip the aftershave.

With space for 1500, Astra is one of the bigger indie venues in town, yet often fills up eas-
ily, and not just for such headliners as Melissa Etheridge, Kasabian or Paul van Dyk's Vandit

This progressive performance space in an old riverside pump station blurs the boundaries
between the arts to nurture new forms of creative expression. Nice riverside cafe-bar from

KINO INTERNATIONAL
The East German film elite once held its movie premieres in this 1960s cinema, whose pot-
pourri of chandeliers and glitter curtains is a show in itself. Today it presents smartly curated
international indie hit flicks, usually in the original language with German subtitles.
Mondays are reserved for gay-themed movies and the first Saturday of the month for the
gay megabash Klub International.

Big bad Berghain's little sister has taken over the former staff cantina right next to the giant
ex-power station. It puts on concerts and party nights beyond electro starting at a weekday-
