butcher's shop. For variety, the brewmasters produce seasonal blackboard specials such as a
malty Bernstein or a robust Indian pale ale.

At this pocket-size neighbourhood bar only a dozen or so lucky barflys can get their groove
on with Tony Galea's intriguing seasonally changing cocktails. A perennial fave seems to be
the gin-based 'Jack the Ripper' with a slice of fried bacon balancing atop the glass.
There's local craft beer on tap and plenty of whiskies to keep connoisseurs happy.

Chilled electro and well-mixed cocktails fuel the party spirit and the low light makes every-
one look good. Beware of the ubercomfy retro sofas - it may be too hard to get up to order
that next drink, even if it's the eponymous house cocktail made with real root ginger, ginger
ale and whisky. Smoking OK.

The name is the concept at this sweet, unhurried cafe where everything is
'kaufbar'
(for
sale): the sofa you're sitting on, the cup you're drinking from, the vases decorating the table.
Tousled students, young mums and local artists invade for breakfast (until 4pm), locally
roasted coffee, homemade cakes, drinks and light snacks. Nice garden, too.
