Berlin's oldest English-language theatre puts on a well-respected potpourri of in-house pro-
ductions, plays by international visiting troupes, concerts, comedy, dance and cabaret by
local performers. It's located in a former-brewery-turned-artist-complex and shares space
with Theater Thikwa, featuring actors with and without disabilities.

Cosy and knick-knack-laden, this Kreuzberg institution has plied an all-ages, all-comers
crowd of jazz and blues lovers with tunes and booze for over 30 years. Toe-tapping bands
invade several times a week, but there's also a pool table, a beer garden for chilling, local
beer on tap and European soul food served till 1am. Jazz brunch on Sundays.

Helmed by actor/dancer Wagner Carvalho and film maker Tuncay Kulaoglu, this fringe
theatre in a repurposed 19th-century ballroom presents cutting-edge and often provocative
intercultural plays around the issues of migration and integration. Most actors have an im-
migrant background.
