LOFTUS HALL

M29, 171,
Herman-
nplatz)
This '70s retro paradise in a former factory cafeteria takes its name from a haunted mansion
in Ireland - you half expect a resident ghost to lurk behind the wood-panelled walls and
heavy curtains. The sound system and music, however, are very up-to-the-minute, with
next-gen DJ royalty helming the decks most nights.
COCKTAIL BAR
BAR MARQUES
( MAP GOOGLE MAP ; 030-6162 5906; Graefestrasse 92; from 6pm; Schönleinstrasse)
Maverick mixer Marcus Wolff presides over this tiny shrine to spirits tucked beneath the
eponymous Spanish restaurant. Amid velvet sofas, antique tables and, in winter, a lustily
roaring fireplace, the emphasis is on drinks that have written cocktail history - Martini to
Negroni - served in stylish cut-glass tumblers.

5pm-2am Sun-
Thu, 5pm-3am Fri & Sat; Hermannplatz)
Dressed in rich purple, burgundy and silver, this kitschy-campy queer pub collective is as
charmingly over-the-top as a playful grope from your favourite drag queen. There's disco on
the jukebox, Polish and Czech beer in the fridge and enough smiling faces for a dependably
good time. Check the website for concerts or art shows.

SCHWUZ
( MAP GOOGLE MAP ;
030-5770 2270; www.schwuz.de ; Rollbergstrasse 26;
Wed-Sun;
104,167, Rathaus Neukölln)
Despite its new location at the former Kindl brewery, this queer party institution is still the
go-to spot for high-energy flirting and dancing. Different nightly parties (eg Madonna
Mania, Partysane, Popkicker) draw different punters, so check what's on before heading out.
Good for easing into the gay party scene.
