This hip little joint was the first to introduce bánh mì(Vietnamese sandwiches) to Ber-
lin. A relic from French-colonial times, it combines marinated meats, pâtés, spicy
sauces and fresh herbs into a firework of aromas stuffed into a toasted baguette.

This burger joint is especially busy from the early evening onwards when prospective
night owls stop by to fortify themselves with bulging handmade burgers and piles of
handcut fries. Organic meats cost a bit more.

With a full-on view of the Bodemuseum, palm trees and a relaxed ambience, Germany's first
beach bar (since 2002) is great for balancing a surfeit of sightseeing stimulus with a revivi-
fying drink. At night, there's dancing under the stars with tango, cha cha, swing and salsa.
Lessons (€6) run from 7pm to 8pm.
