In-Depth Information
Below his high-concept gourmet temple, Michelin-starred Marco Müller operates a more
down-to-earth wine bar where the menu has a distinct earthy and carnivorous bent. Many of
the meats and sausages are sourced from Berlin and surrounds. Finish up with a Berlin
cheesecake with walnuts and elderberry ice cream.

Perched at a shiny black table, perhaps near the fireplace, you can watch the kitchen staff
churn out dishes that sound deceptively simple on the menu but turn out to be meals with
complex textures and flavour pairings. Case in point: sweet potato teamed with pistachio,
tahini yoghurt and black cumin. Good-value business lunches.

ZAGREUS PROJEKT
( MAP GOOGLE MAP ; 030-2809 5640; www.zagreus.net ; Back courtyard, Brunnenstrasse 9a;
4-course dinner €36; Rosenthaler Platz, M1)
Art meets food in this project space headed by chef-artist-gallery owner Ulrich Krauss.
Every other month, Krauss invites different artists to create a site-specific installation, then
composes a menu inspired by the artwork and serves it to a small group of diners at a com-
munal table right in the gallery. Great for art-loving foodies and food-loving artists. Reser-
vations required as hours vary.
