Created by private collector Thomas Olbricht, this modern space showcases not only his
own art collection from the 16th century to today, but also serves as a platform for other col-
lectors to present their works in themed group shows. The only permanent feature is the
Wunderkammer, a global 'cabinet of curiosities' that includes rare postage stamps, art-nou-
veau objects and toys.
The on-site Me Cafe is a pleasant spot to reflect upon it all.

much alive in the German capital, thanks to this eclectic collection of memorabilia. Look for
Marky Ramone's drumsticks and Johnny Ramone's jeans amid signed album covers,
posters, flyers, photographs and other flotsam and jetsam. The on-site cafe also hosts the oc-
casional concert.

If you want to meet 'Püppi' the techno-loving go-go dancer or 'Orangina' the twirling six-
legged doll, you need to descend a steep spiral staircase into Hannes Heiner's surrealist un-
derground world. Inspired by his dreams, the artist has fashioned a menagerie of mechanical
robot-monsters and assembled them in a computer-controlled art and sound installation that
will entertain, astound and perhaps even frighten you just a little bit.
