The original 1875 brasserie at the Ritz-Carlton was moved here from southern France and is
anchored by an open kitchen where toqued chefs turn out French country classics, regional
specials and vegan dishes. For a treat, book ahead for the legendary Sunday brunch
(12.30pm to 3.30pm) with bottomless Champagne.
Be sure not to OD on the crusty breads made in the on-site
boulangerie
(bakery). Week-
day lunch specials go for €14.

Next to an idyllic pond in the southwestern section of Tiergarten, this restaurant is jammed
year-round for its sumptuous breakfast, pizza and seasonal fare, but really comes into its
own during beer garden season. Enjoy a microvacation from the city bustle over a cold one
or take your sweetie on a spin in a row boat (per half hour €5).

Not even many Berliners know about this enchanting reed-thatched teahouse tucked into the
northwestern corner of Tiergarten park. It's best in summer, when the beer garden overlook-
ing an idyllic pond seats up to 500 people for cold beers and a global roster of simple but
tasty dishes.
On Sundays in July and August it hosts a hugely popular concert series
