4.2 Orthopaedic applications
Within orthopedics the following areas for Ca-aluminate based materials have been
identified; percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) and kyphoplasty (KVP), trauma and general
augmentation.

High radiopacity allows for superior visibility of the cement during and increases the
