3.2 Mechanical property evolution of the as-cast Mg- Zn-Ca alloys
3.2.1 The effects of Zn content on mechanical property of as-cast alloys
The tensile tests were carried out at room temperature on the as-cast Mg-x Zn alloys. The
tensile strength and elongation of present alloy were shown in Table 3. The typical stress-
train curves of Mg-x Zn alloys were depicted in Fig.5. As shown in Table 3 and Fig.5, after
1.0 wt.% Zn was added to the pure Mg, the mechanical properties of as-cast Mg-1.0Zn like
