Notes: Arriving in Bruges, check schedules posted in the station for your return
train to Brussels. The train information office is inside the station on the left side as
you exit from the train platform [Tel: (0) 50 38 23 82]. Tourist information is avail-
able outside the station near the Video Palace, or go to the central tourist office in
Burg Square.
Brussels (Bruxelles)—Bruges (Brugge)
Two or more trains per hour from Brussels Midi/Zuid to Bruges at 05 and 26
minutes after the hour; journey time 50 minutes. The same trains depart first from
Nord Station, then Central, and finally Midi/Zuid.
Returning trains (2 or more each hour) depart Bruges at 36 and 54 minutes after
the hour; journey time 50 to 55 minutes. Trains arrive first at Midi/Zuid, then Cent-
ral, and then Nord.
Note: The rail route from Brussels to Bruges is the main line to the port of Oos-
tende. Consequently, most of the trains going in that direction stop at all three of
