Getting Around in Stockholm
The city has excellent transportation facilities for sightseeing in Stockholm. The ex-
tensive network of bus and subway systems makes it easy to reach practically any
point in the city from any other point.
Your key to using these city transportation facilities is the Stockholm Card,
which provides free admission to 80 of the city's museums and sights, as well as
free sightseeing by boat, free public transportation throughout the Stockholm area,
a free bicycle sightseeing guide and free guidebook. Adult prices are SEK 495 for
24 hours, SEK 650 for 48 hours, SEK 795 for 72 hours, and SEK 1050 for 120
hours. Child rates are SEK 225 for 24 hours, SEK 265 for 48 hours, SEK 295 for
72 hours, and SEK 325 for 120 hours. For additional children there are reduced
rates available. You can purchase the card online at www.stockholmtown.com and
at the tourist information centers in Central Station and the Culture Center. It is sold
undated and is stamped with the date and hour the first time you use it. With the
card, you will be given a folder explaining its use and validation procedure.
