Sights/Attractions/Tours
If you'd like to see Amsterdam on foot, the VVV's color-coded signboards and map
will guide you along six walking routes. More than 30 attractions are incorporated
into the walking routes.
A boat trip on Amsterdam's canals is, undoubtedly, the most relaxing way to see
the city. Canal-boat terminals line the city's pier-studded canals, many of which
may be found immediately outside the station. The closest of these is the Holland
International pier [ Tel: (020) 622 77 88; www.hir.nl ] . It is just across the bridge
on the right. A canal tour costs €15.00 for adults and €7.75 for children age 4 to
12 and senior citizens older than age 65. Other tour-boat terminals are scattered
throughout Amsterdam.
