Sonn Alpin, you join up with the cog railway, which terminates there in a huge vaul-
ted hall blasted out of solid rock. Trains depart on the hour, and the trip back to
Garmisch takes 1 hour and 10 minutes.

To get to the office in town, follow Salurner Strasse to the Triumphal Arch; make a
right and follow Maria-Theresien Strasse directly to the tourist office at the Burgg-
raben crossroad entrance to the old town.
