In-Depth Information
For another train ride, this one within the city, board the Nice “little train” at its
station on the Promenade des Anglais for a scenic ride through the shady, narrow
streets of the Old Town to Castle Hill for a vista of the Baie des Anges (Bay of
Angels) and the Port of Nice.
Day Excursions
With Nice as their pivot point, four wonderful day excursions have been selected.
Cannes was picked for its beaches and bikinis (or something even less); Mar-
seilles, melting pot of the Mediterranean, because of its flair for bouillabaisse and
its Bogart background; Monte Carlo (Monaco) for its coastline and casino; and
Saint-Raphaël, the resort on the Riviera with something for everyone, and at pop-
ular prices.
