Hillerød can become the crowning touch to your visit to Denmark. The town has
an atmosphere distinctly its own with beautiful woodlands surrounding it. A picture-
book lake rests in the town's center, faced on one side by the old town and its
market square and on another by the majestic Frederiksborg Castle. There are few
places in the world where nature and culture blend so perfectly.
No doubt the Frederiksborg Castle will be the first stopping point on your tour
of Hillerød. A tour boat plies along the “most beautiful nautical mile in Denmark”
