You may want to visit other attractions by taking the bus. If you plan to visit sev-
eral attractions in Aarhus or if you plan to stay longer, purchase the Aarhuscard
online at www.visitaarhus.com , at the tourist information/Welcome Center, at the
bus station, at the youth hostel, or at hotels. It provides for free or discounted ad-
mission to most of the city's attractions as well as free transport on the yellow bus
networks. Cost: one-day Aarhuscard DKK 129 adults, DKK 69 children; two-day
Aarhuscard DKK 179 adults, DKK 79 children.
South of Aarhus you'll find the Prehistoric Museum at Moesgård, one of Den-
mark's top attractions. ( Hours: 1000-1700 daily in summer; closed Monday during
winter; DKK 60 adults, under 18 free.) Visit www.moesmus.dk . The museum con-
tains collections from the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, and the Viking
period. To get there, take bus No. 6 from the railway station. Closed until 2014.
Between Odden and Aarhus, there is a hydrofoil ferry service that takes only 90
minutes. You can return to Copenhagen via this same route, but we recommend
the “great circle” tour, which includes stops at the cities of Frederica and Odense.
