Getting There & Away
Train There are frequent services from Moscow, with the old-school Lastochka (R300,
three daily) and the modern Sapsan (R900, two daily) being the fastest - they cover the
distance in 1¾ hours. Both of these continue to Nizhny Novgorod (Lastochka R300,
Sapsan R1050; two hours). All long-distance trains heading towards Tatarstan and Siberia
also call at Vladimir.
Car Vladimir is a 178km drive along the M7 from Moscow. Consider leaving in the
morning (except Saturday) to lose less time at the exit from Moscow.
