2. Suppose that you would like to monitor the Blob and Table services at the verbose level
and the Queue service at the minimal level. Change the settings as shown in Figure 12.31.
3. You can also specify how to log the Blob, Table, and Queue services. On the logging
page, specify the logging as shown in Figure 12.32. hen, click the SAV E context
command.
4. To display the metric, click the MONITOR menu. he default metrics are displayed
(Figure 12.33).
5. To monitor a new metric, for example, Total Requests, expand the 4 MORE node on
the top part of your screen and select TOTAL REQUESTS(TABLE) as shown in
Figure 12.34. If you click ADD METRICS, you will see many more metrics available
for monitoring.
6. After the Table Requests metric is added, you need to click the icon left to the metric
to display the monitoring result as shown in Figure 12.35.
7. You can also change the display time range; for example, you can change the time
range from 6 HOURS to 24 HOURS as shown in Figure 12.36.
his activity shows that monitoring cloud components can be easily done through the
Windows Azure Management Portal. In addition to monitoring cloud services and storage
services, you can also use the Windows Azure Management Portal to monitor SQL data-
bases, SQL reports, websites, service buses, and multimedia services.
