5. In the Select Metrics that you'd like to Monitor dialog, select the metric, for exam-
ple, NETWORK IN for StudentClub.WebRole as shown in Figure 12.27. hen,
click the check box.
6. To display the newly added metric, check the metric as shown in Figure 12.28.
7. You can also change the monitoring time range. Figure 12.29 displays the metrics in
the 24-h time range.
8. To delete the newly added metric, select the metric and click the context command
DELETE METRIC .
TASK 2: MONITOR STOR AGE SERVICES
With the Windows Azure Management Portal, you can monitor the storage accounts that
host the storage services Blob storage service, Queue storage service, and Table storage ser-
vice. As described earlier, monitoring can be done at the minimal level or verbose level.
You can also specify the appropriate data retention policy. he following steps show how to
accomplish these tasks:
1. Assume that the Windows Azure Management Portal is still open. Click the
STORAGE link and the Storage account you want to monitor. Click the
CONFIGURE menu and you should be able to see the options of monitoring levels
shown in Figure 12.30.
